Graduate/Trainee Meteorologist

Job Description

The successful candidate(s) will work within our team of 24/7 meteorologists at our headquarters in Buckinghamshire, analysing and interpreting observational and forecast model data to ensure our customers are always in receipt of the most accurate and up-to-date information available. As a company operating in a number of fast-paced, exciting markets, a proactive, professional and energetic approach is required, with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the working environment.

Essential experience and skills required

  • A degree in meteorology or a science-related degree, with a keen, demonstrable interest in weather
  • and forecasting
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and European synoptic meteorology, climatology and geography
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • The weather never stops, so willingness to work unsociable shift-hours is essential
  • Understanding the importance of teamwork
